Founded in 1852, Gordon State College (GSC) is a member of the University System of Georgia. The college offers nearly 30 degrees, including associate and baccalaureate pathways, and serves about 3,100 students in an intimate academic setting with state‑of‑the‑art classrooms and laboratories.

Seeking part‑time faculty to teach ISCI 2001 (Early Childhood and Middle Grades Life and Earth Sciences) and/or ISCI 2002 (Early Childhood and Middle Grades Physical Sciences). These activity‑based courses have no separate lab component.

ISCI 2001 focuses on the scientific principles for early childhood education majors aligned with Georgia Performance Standards for grades Pre‑K–5, covering life characteristics, biodiversity, energy flow, life interdependence, cellular biology, Earth and hydrospheric systems, and the solar system. ISCI 2002 targets elementary education majors, emphasizing matter properties, energy conservation, motion, forces, and electromagnetic and gravitational fields.

• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the relevant discipline (Biological Sciences for ISCI 2001, Physical Sciences for ISCI 2002).

Experience teaching early childhood or elementary science courses and familiarity with Georgia Performance Standards.
