Our client is a highly respected independent Accountancy practice with a strong reputation for quality, depth of expertise and the calibre of its client base. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Audit Senior / Audit Semi Senior to join their expanding Audit team.
This is a confidential search for a firm that genuinely invests in its people, with Partners actively involved in development and progression from day one.
The OpportunityThis role offers a balanced 80% audit / 20% accounts split, giving you the ideal mix of technical audit work alongside exposure to statutory accounts preparation and review.

We are particularly keen to speak with candidates who are either currently working in an audit & accounts split role, or pure audit professionals looking to reduce their audit-heavy workload and broaden their exposure into accounts work.
What You'll Be Doing- Leading audits from planning through to completion
- Taking ownership of assignments and managing delivery deadlines
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements under UK GAAP (FRS 102 & FRS 102-1A)
- Supporting and supervising junior team members
- Working closely with Managers and Partners on complex assignments
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
- Ensuring high-quality delivery across both audit and accounts work
- Identifying opportunities to add value to clients
You will ideally be:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or close to qualification
- Experienced in UK practice with a focus on audit (and ideally some accounts exposure)
- Comfortable leading audit assignments from start to finish
- Technically strong with UK GAAP knowledge
- A confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
- Ambitious, proactive and keen to progress your career
- Either currently in an audit & accounts split role, or a 100% audit role looking to broaden your experience
