Food Technology Teacher

Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving independent school in Barnet. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students in practical and theoretical aspects of food and nutrition, with the potential for longer-term work beyond the initial placement.

THE FOOD TECHNOLOGY TEACHING ROLE:

Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3-4.
Support students in developing practical skills, understanding nutrition, food science, and culinary techniques.
Ensure high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the Food Technology department.
Contribute to extra-curricular food and nutrition activities where appropriate.

ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL FOOD TECHNOLOGY TEACHER:

Must be a qualified Food Technology teacher.
Must hold a valid Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to complete the training.
Passionate about practical learning, creative, and able to inspire students of all abilities.
Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
Flexible, proactive, and committed to contributing to the wider school community.
