Overview
We are seeking to appoint a motivated and talented Media Studies teacher for September 2026. The school is looking to provide a pathway for progression with the potential to take up additional responsibility. You will be teaching Media Studies at Key Stage 5.
Responsibilities- Teach Media Studies at Level 3 Vocational and contribute to an inspiring, academic curriculum that fosters a love for learning.
- Be a dynamic professional with a track record of excellent outcomes and a desire to improve life changes for young people through teaching.
- Collaborate with colleagues, take initiative, and contribute to the department and wider school.
- Support the school’s Catholic ethos and be friendly, confident and enthusiastic.
- A well-qualified teacher with experience teaching Media Studies to Level 3 Vocational.
- Excellent subject knowledge and openness to developing their own practice.
- Ambitious for themselves and our pupils; a team player with a can-do attitude and strong personal resilience.
- Committed to supporting the school's wide and varied extra-curricular programme.
The Media Studies department at St James’ is currently part of the Art department and is collegiate, supportive and enthusiastic. We have planned an inspiring, academic curriculum that fosters a love for learning and we are always keen to embrace fresh ideas.
