Location: Chipping Barnet

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Barnet.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher or a mainstream teacher with a strong interest in Special Educational Needs to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language needs, and Moderate Learning Difficulties.
  • Create a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise pupil outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience working with pupils with SEND.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Patient, resilient, and committed to inclusive education.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.

This role would suit an experienced SEN Teacher, SEND Specialist, Primary Teacher, or Secondary Teacher looking to work within a specialist setting where they can have a meaningful impact on pupils' development and achievement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
