Literacy SEN Tutor | Barnet | September 2026 Start

Are you a Psychology or English graduate with a genuine passion for supporting neurodivergent learners? This Literacy SEN Tutor role is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring educational psychologist, teacher, or SEND professional looking to gain meaningful, hands‑on experience within a specialist ARP setting. An inclusive secondary school in Barnet is seeking a dedicated Literacy SEN Tutor to join their Additional Resource Provision from September 2026.

What

You’ll Be Doing as a Literacy SEN Tutor
  • Deliver small‑group literacy sessions as a Literacy SEN Tutor within an ARP setting.
  • Support students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional learning needs.
  • Focus on reading, writing, comprehension, and functional communication skills.
  • Adapt learning materials to suit a range of neurodivergent profiles.
  • Work closely with specialist SEN staff to deliver targeted interventions.
What We’re Looking for in a Literacy SEN Tutor
  • Degree in English, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Strong A‑Level results in English or Psychology (A

    A).
  • Strong academic background with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in autism, neurodiversity, and inclusive education.
  • Calm, patient, and emotionally intelligent approach.
  • Aspiring educational psychologist, teacher, or SEN practitioner.
  • Experience with young people is beneficial but not essential.
