An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a one-form entry primary school in Barnet from September 2026.
The school is seeking a skilled practitioner to teach within its Key Stage 2 Additional Resource Provision (ARP), supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD. This is a full-time position for the entire academic year and would suit a teacher with a strong background in specialist SEND settings.
Working within a well-established provision, you will teach a small class of approximately 12 pupils, supported by two experienced SEN Teaching Assistants. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO, therapists, school leaders and external professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need to achieve their potential.
The Role
Full-time SEN Teacher position within a KS2 Additional Resource Provision (ARP)
Teaching a class of approximately 12 pupils with Autism and ADHD
Planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
Working alongside two experienced SEN Teaching Assistants
Collaborating with the SENCO, therapists, leadership team and external agencies
Creating a structured, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Full academic year contract from September 2026
The Successful Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience working within an ARP, SEN Unit or SEN School
Strong knowledge and understanding of Autism and ADHD
Experience adapting learning to meet a range of complex needs
Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
A genuine passion for inclusive education and achieving positive outcomes for pupils with SEND
