Are you a bright, hard-working graduate looking to secure an Aspiring Educational Psychologist role in Hendon, Barnet? This specialist primary setting supports pupils aged 4‑11 with Autism and associated communication needs, offering a creative, therapeutic and highly structured environment.

Role Overview

As an Aspiring Educational Psychologist you will support pupils with Autism, communication, social interaction, emotional regulation and access to an adapted curriculum. Pupils’ learning is closely linked to individual needs and EHCP outcomes, giving you valuable experience of targeted interventions and specialist support planning. You will work in a setting that reports good progress through carefully sequenced learning pathways across reading, writing, maths and wider development.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Provide support to pupils with Autism and communication needs
  • Assist with social interaction, emotional regulation, and curriculum adaptation
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to develop and implement individualised plans
  • Maintain consistent routines and clear communication with children who require structure
  • Support the delivery of the adapted curriculum across core subjects and wider development
Qualifications
  • Strong degree from a reputable university
  • Genuine interest in Autism, SEND, child development, psychology or therapy
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn from teachers and therapists
  • Hard‑working, reflective and able to use initiative
