Teacher of the Deaf - Primary Setting | September Start
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of the Deaf to join a specialist primary provision in Barnet, from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of deaf and hearing‑impaired pupils within a supportive and highly specialised educational environment. The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
The Role- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to deaf and hearing‑impaired pupils.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with specialist staff, support teams and families.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to individual learning plans.
- Promote communication, independence and confidence within the classroom.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working with deaf or hearing‑impaired pupils is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Free SEND workshop – Online.
- Free Team Teach Level 1 Training – Online.
- Excellent rates of pay.
- Full‑time – 5 days a week.
- Opportunity for a permanent contract.
- Contract 12‑39 weeks. This role is available on a long‑term basis from September and offers the opportunity to work within a highly rewarding specialist setting.
