Position
Senior Administrative Officer
LocationMillbrook Park CE Primary School, School House Lane, London NW7 1JF
Employment Details- Full‑time, fixed‑term (ASAP to 31 March 2027) – maternity cover
- 36 hours per week (term time only, including INSET days)
- Salary: £2,739 FTE per month (SO1, Scale Point 23, Outer London)
- Oversee the operation and delivery of administrative and support services within the school, ensuring effective systems, processes, and compliance.
- Manage the welcoming front office to provide a smooth experience for pupils, parents and staff.
- Handle HR administration, including payroll, leave and staff records.
- Provide nursery administration support and coordinate with the nursery team.
- Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of information in line with data protection rules.
- Support the School Business Manager in strategic planning and business management.
- Experienced school administrator with a sound knowledge of safeguarding in school settings.
- Knowledge of school management information systems (preferably Arbor) and school employment terms and conditions (Burgundy book, Green book).
- Experience with nursery administration (ideally).
- Proficient with IT solutions, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, and standard school applications (e.g., MIS, visitor management, parent payments).
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and effective decision‑making capability.
- Effective communicator, both verbally and written; friendly yet firm when required.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, staff and governors; works well as part of a team.
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.

- Supportive school business colleagues, including an admin officer (part‑time), the School Business Manager, a caretaker and kitchen team.
