The successful candidate will be passionate about Drama and Performing Arts, with the ability to inspire students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. They will foster a love of theatre, performance and storytelling while helping students develop confidence, resilience, communication skills and artistic expression.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have a proven track record of delivering engaging and high-quality Drama lessons.
Be confident teaching Drama across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
Inspire creativity and participation through innovative and practical teaching methods.
Have experience directing performances, productions, showcases or extracurricular Drama activities.
Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
Be committed to developing students' confidence, collaboration and communication skills.
Have experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, behavioural, or additional learning needs.
Be passionate about making the Creative Arts accessible, inclusive and engaging for all learners.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

QTS, QTLS, PGCE or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Drama within a UK secondary school.
Strong subject knowledge across the Drama and Performing Arts curriculum, including GCSE and A-Level Drama and Theatre Studies.
Experience preparing students for practical and written assessments.
A clear understanding of adaptive teaching and inclusive classroom practice.
Up-to-date safeguarding training (desirable but not essential).To Be Eligible for This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:

Be willing to register with Prospero Teaching and complete all compliance procedures.
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
Provide two professional references covering the last two years.
