English Teacher – Full-time, temporary to permanent role starting September 2026

Duties as English Teacher:- Teach English full time across relevant secondary year groups
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
- Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative working
- Support pupils’ literacy development and confidence in English
- Prepare pupils effectively for assessments and examinations
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching English
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language
- Confident teaching across KS3 and KS4
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork abilities
- Reflective, proactive, and committed to professional development
- Willingness to commit to a temp to perm opportunity
