Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is confident leading learning as well as supporting it? Teach Now is recruiting for an exciting full-time primary opportunity in Barnet from September. This Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety. You could be supporting targeted interventions in the morning, working alongside a class teacher to raise attainment and then confidently leading a class or group activity when required.

The role will include:

  • Delivering planned learning activities across KS1 and KS2.
  • Providing whole-class cover under the direction of teaching staff.
  • Leading literacy, numeracy and targeted intervention groups.
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and adapting learning where appropriate.
  • Monitoring progress and feeding observations back to teachers.
  • Helping maintain positive behaviour and an engaging classroom environment.

We’re looking for:

An experienced primary practitioner already comfortable working at HLTA level. HLTA status, a Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience is highly desirable, alongside strong literacy, numeracy, communication and behaviour-management skills.
