HLTA / Cover Supervisor – Primary School

Salary: £120–£130 per day

Role: HLTA / Cover Supervisor

Teach Now is recruiting a confident and adaptable HLTA / Cover Supervisor to provide high-quality classroom cover across Reception to Year 6.

The role will involve covering PPA, leadership release, training and staff absences, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring continuity of learning across the school. When cover is not required, you will be based in Year 6, supporting pupils and the class teacher.

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across Reception to Year 6.
• Lead whole classes confidently and independently.
• Maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment with strong behaviour management.
• Adapt quickly to different year groups and classroom routines.
• Mark pupils work in line with school expectations.
• Support Year 6 pupils and staff when not providing cover.

• The school is looking for someone who is confident managing and teaching a whole class.
• Has strong behaviour management and classroom presence.
• Is flexible and comfortable moving between year groups.
• Can quickly build positive relationships with pupils.
• Ideally has previous class-cover experience in a primary setting.
