  • Supporting pupils to engage with lessons and learning activities
  • Helping young people develop confidence, independence and resilience
  • Adapting your approach to meet individual learning and emotional needs
  • Supporting positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing
  • Building strong and trusting relationships with young people
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other members of the school team
  • Supporting pupils with educational activities both on and off site
The Ideal Candidate :
  • Has a genuine passion for working with young people with SEN
  • Is positive, patient, compassionate and resilient
  • Can build strong professional relationships with pupils
  • Is flexible and able to adapt to individual needs
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Is committed to inclusion and helping every pupil achieve their potential
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable
The School Offers:
  • Small class sizes and personalised approaches to learning
  • A welcoming and highly supportive staff team
  • Excellent opportunities for professional development
  • Opportunities for career progression within specialist education
  • A rewarding working environment where you can see the impact of your support

This position would suit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant as well as someone with relevant experience who is looking to develop their career within specialist education.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and relevant pre-employment checks.
