Teach Now is seeking a motivated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a primary-school team in Barnet from September.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping older primary pupils build confidence, independence and the academic skills they need to succeed. You will support classroom teaching while also providing focused assistance to pupils who may benefit from extra help with English, maths or other areas of the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce lesson content.
  • Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions.
  • Help pupils prepare for assessments and consolidate key skills where appropriate.
  • Support pupils with SEN and additional learning needs.
  • Encourage independence, resilience and positive behaviour.
  • Monitor progress and communicate observations to the class teacher.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children.
  • KS2 classroom experience is highly desirable.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to explain concepts clearly and encourage reluctant learners.
  • A calm, encouraging and organised approach.
  • Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK.

Pay is determined based on qualifications and experience.
