Teach Now is recruiting an engaging English Teacher for a secondary school in Barnet.

You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, inspiring pupils to read critically, communicate clearly and approach examinations with confidence.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons.

Teach literature, language, writing and analytical skills.

Prepare KS4 pupils for GCSE English Language and Literature.

Track progress and provide meaningful feedback.

Support pupils with differing literacy levels and learning needs.

Create a classroom culture where discussion and ideas are encouraged.

Requirements

UK QTS or recognised equivalent.

Strong English subject knowledge.

Secondary English teaching experience or strong ECT placements.

Good understanding of the GCSE curriculum.

Effective classroom and behaviour management.
