A teaching assistant is needed for an outstanding special educational needs (SEN) school in North London for primary school students.
As a teaching assistant, you will be working closely with students who require additional support, either one:on:one or in small groups.
Willingness to do personal care is preferred.
This school is easily accessible from around London, with great transport links.
Being a teaching assistant at this school, you will become a part of a highly supportive team with exceptional senior leadership and fantastic resources.
Your Responsibilities As a Teaching Assistant May Include- Working with and supporting students with learning difficulties and complex needs, which may include students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), or challenging behaviour.
- Providing academic support, either one:on:one or in a small group.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture and providing emotional support when needed.
- Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
- Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage focus and self:control.
- Assisting with lesson planning and delivery.
- Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well:being of students.
- The right to work in the UK.
- A clear and up:to:date DBS.
- Experience working as a teaching assistant.
- A patient, kind attitude with a passion to support SEN students and a keen interest in child development.
