Are you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Barnet?

The Supply Register is working in partnership with Northway School as their Managed Service Provider (MSP), recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils across the school.

Northway is a specialist school supporting pupils with learning difficulties and disabilities, including pupils on the autism spectrum. The school is committed to creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment where pupils can develop confidence, independence and the skills they need for the future.

• Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children with additional needs – essential
• Have experience working with pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH or complex learning needs
• Are patient, compassionate and confident supporting pupils with a range of individual needs
• Are proactive, resilient and committed to creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
• Support pupils with their learning, communication, behaviour and independence
• Work closely with teachers and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs
• Assist with classroom activities and personalised learning programmes
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils to develop their confidence and independence
• Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil can achieve
