Level 3 Teaching and Learning Assistant

Redbourn Primary School is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching and Learning Assistant for a term-time post starting in January 2027. The work is supporting pupils' academic and pastoral needs alongside teachers, with individuals, small groups and whole classes. Weekday hours run from 7:45am to 3:30pm and include supporting pupils a sponsorship is not available, and an enhanced DBS check is required.

• Support pupils' learning and development with individuals, small groups and whole classes
• Work with teachers and other professionals to help pupils achieve their full potential
• Provide academic and pastoral support to pupils
• Support children during lunchtime
• Contribute to the wider life of the school

• Level 3 NVQ in Childcare, a Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent

• Experience of working with children

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Building positive relationships with children while maintaining appropriate boundaries
• Calm, patient, flexible and professional approach with children and families

• Enhanced DBS check
