Are you a compassionate, experienced Healthcare Assistant who enjoys working with children and wants to provide truly personalised care?

At HFH Healthcare
, we're looking for a kind, reliable and attentive Paediatric Complex Care Assistant to support a three-year-old child with complex healthcare needs in their family home in Southgate, North London.

Our young client requires dedicated, one-to-one support with daily routines, personal care and specialist clinical needs.

We're looking for someone who brings patience, warmth and excellent attention to detail
, understands the importance of working closely with parents and respects the routines and values of a family home.

About the Role

You’ll provide dedicated, one-to-one care during the day, following an individual care plan and working alongside the child's family and HFH Healthcare's clinical team.

The child's parents are highly experienced in supporting their care needs, so good communication, consistency and a collaborative approach are especially important.

This is not a domiciliary care role. You’ll work with one client per shift rather than travelling between multiple homes.

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week
.

Your Responsibilities
  • Providing gentle, age-appropriate personal care and daily support.
  • Assisting with specialist positioning and postural management.
  • Supporting intermittent catheterisation in line with the care plan.
  • Assisting with bowel management routines, including prescribed interventions.
  • Administering medication following training and competency assessment.
  • Supporting feeding safely, with close attention to choking and aspiration risks.
  • Monitoring comfort, wellbeing and changes in condition.
  • Maintaining accurate care records and communicating with parents and the clinical team.
  • Respecting the family's home, preferences and religious practices.

All specialist interventions must be delivered in accordance with the individual care plan, relevant training and assessed competencies.

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with complex healthcare needs.
  • A gentle, patient and nurturing personality.
  • Confidence providing personal care and following detailed care plans.
  • Excellent observation and communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding, dignity and person-centred care.
  • Reliability, professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn the child's individual clinical needs and routines.
  • Respect for family preferences, cultural practices and household boundaries.
  • Availability for at least 24 hours per week

Paediatric complex care experience would be an advantage
, particularly experience with catheterisation, bowel management, feeding support or postural care.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can provide calm, consistent and compassionate care while working respectfully within a family home.
