At Trent Acres, we're looking for a proactive, hands-on Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day management of our school estate. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.

You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, welcoming and inspiring environment where children and young people can thrive. From leading a dedicated facilities team and managing contractors to overseeing maintenance projects and ensuring statutory compliance, you'll play a vital role in the smooth running of our school. What You'll Be Doing Lead the day-to-day management of the school's facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, catering and site services. Develop and oversee planned, preventative and reactive maintenance programmes to ensure our site remains safe, compliant and well maintained. Manage contractors, improvement projects and facilities budgets, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and delivers value for money. Carry out regular site inspections, identifying opportunities to improve the school environment and responding promptly to maintenance issues.

Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, fire safety, COSHH, statutory inspections and regulatory requirements. Oversee the management of equipment, vehicles, tools and site resources, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard. Lead, motivate and develop the facilities team, creating a culture of high performance, collaboration and excellent customer service. Work closely with school leaders to support future development projects and continually enhance the learning environment.

What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who:
Has previous experience in a Facilities, Estates or Site Management role, ideally within education, healthcare, care or a similar environment. Has a strong understanding of Health & Safety, statutory compliance, fire safety and facilities management best practice. Is experienced in managing contractors, maintenance programmes, projects and budgets. Is a confident and supportive people leader who can motivate teams and build positive working relationships.

Has a practical, solutions-focused approach and enjoys finding effective ways to solve problems. Is highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Takes pride in maintaining high standards and delivering an excellent service. Holds a Full UK Driving Licence.
