Childrens Hospice Nurse - Band 6 (Grade 4 equivalent)

An opportunity for an experienced Band 5 or Band 6 nurse with palliative care experience to join Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. Applicants should have a minimum of one year caring for children with complex needs and experience managing a nursing team or supporting students and junior staff.

The role demands strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills. We value kindness, excellence and courage and look for individuals who share our mission of supporting children and families.

As a member of the Noah’s Ark Nurse and Specialist Care team, you will:

  • Provide 24/7 symptom assessment and management for babies, children and young people in the Ark and in the community.
  • Deliver end‑of‑life care and support families, helping to create a comfortable environment and choosing preferred place of care and death.
  • Encourage a child‑centred approach, focusing on what children can do rather than their limitations.
  • Provide direct line management support to Band 5 equivalent nurses and Band 3 & 4 equivalent specialist carers.
  • Deliver high quality training and mentoring to team members and family members.
