We have an exciting opportunity in Barnet for a Social Work Team Manager to take on a vital role within the Mental Health Social Work Team South. As the Team Manager, you will provide operational oversight and professional management to a dynamic multidisciplinary team. You’ll focus on delivering specialist social care and enablement services for adults with mental health needs and their carers.

What you will do
  • Provide excellent leadership, direction, and effective management of the team’s resources, ensuring compliance with professional standards and best practice.

  • Deliver individualised, needs-led support plans through timely and focused interventions that promote long-term independence and choice.

  • Ensure safeguarding of adults at risk is embedded in all procedures and support, promoting safety while managing risks effectively.
  • Ensure full compliance with Pan-London protocols and Barnet safeguarding standards, maintaining accurate records and financial compliance.
  • Champion self-directed support, including direct payments and Telecare equipment, to enhance choice for service users and carers.
