IT Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Provide end‑user support by troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring efficient, reliable operation of company computers and IT infrastructure.
• Administer and maintain core IT systems—servers, SAN storage, network infrastructure, databases, and enterprise solutions such as Microsoft Exchange, Zabbix, Windows Server, and SCCM—while ensuring systems are regularly updated and optimized.
• Support ongoing system maintenance, contribute to IT infrastructure discussions, and deliver insights and recommendations to enhance performance and overall operations.
• Monitor, track, and report on maintenance activities to ensure optimal system reliability and performance.
• Perform continuous maintenance of applications and systems to support stable and efficient operations.
• Contribute to the key user community by sharing expertise and promoting best practices within the infrastructure domain.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement proactive measures to enhance system performance and daily operations.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of system changes, solutions, and processes.
• Provide high‑quality user support and manage technical solutions and projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and quality standards.

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO or equivalent) in IT or a related field.
• Solid understanding of Active Directory and system administration.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, SQL Server and network configuration.
• Strong communication skills in English, with a solution‑ and service‑oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with Azure, Microsoft certifications, or enterprise platforms is a plus.
• Experience with Dell Storage or working in a production environment is an advantage.

• Salary based on knowledge and experience.
• Full‑time employment of 40 hours per week.
• 8% holiday allowance.
• Travel allowance home–work: 23¢ per kilometer one way up to a maximum of 50 km.
• Holiday days: 27 days on an annual basis (full‑time).
• ATV: 13 days on an annual basis (full‑time).
• CAO:
  Metalektro HP Retirement: PME (Pensioenfonds Metalektro).
• WIA: WIA floor, WGA gap and WGA gap additional insurances in accordance with the stipulated provisions.
• PAWW:
  Compulsory supplementary insurance when the statutory unemployment WW or WGA benefit expires.
