Semi Senior Accountant

An established independent accountancy practice in Barnsley is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant or Senior Accountant to join its growing team. Working with a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses, you will be responsible for preparing accounts, supporting clients with their accounting requirements and building long term client relationships. The role will include:

• Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies
• Accounts preparation for sole traders and partnerships
• Assisting clients with Making Tax Digital requirements
• Liaising directly with clients and responding to day to day queries
• Working closely with senior staff and partners on client assignments

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing accounts for limited company clients
• Good communication and client relationship skills
• AAT qualified, ACCA studying or qualified by experience
• The ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines

The firm offers:

• Salary from c.£27,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
• ACCA study support through an accredited training practice
• 28 days annual leave plus a weeks Christmas shutdown
