Salary: £25,583 – £28,142 (Career Graded). Working arrangements:
Agile Working. Hours per week: 37. Contract type: 1 permanent, 1 fixed term (2 years from appointment).

About The Post

We are recruiting a Field Support Officer to work within the Licensing Team. The role involves providing support services to the licensing team and advising and supporting licence holders and licence applicants.

Responsibilities
  • Providing administrative and operational support for licensing work.
  • Advising licence holders and licence applicants via phone, email and in-person.
  • Maintaining accurate records and data in relevant systems.
  • Supporting all licensing areas, including taxis, private hire, licensed premises, and gambling establishments.
  • Working independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant level 2 qualification.
  • Experience using a range of computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Practical experience of dealing with members of the public.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Working Conditions

The role will be "agile working" with a blended mandatory/hybrid schedule, 37 hours per week. The council is open to flexible working arrangements, including options for caring responsibilities.
