Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our team members are passionate, driven and up for a challenge. If you have ambition to make a difference, then please read on.

We're embarking on a major transformation of our technical documentation, migrating a large library of product manuals from Microsoft Word into Adobe Frame Maker
. This is a key project that will improve document quality, consistency, regulatory alignment, and long-term efficiency.

To support this transition, we're looking for an organised and detail-focused individual who takes pride in accuracy and clear communication. You'll play a direct role in ensuring our user documentation meets internal standards and regulatory requirements, contributing to a smoother, smarter workflow for years to come.

As a Technical Documentation Assistant, you will help transfer existing Word based manuals into Adobe Frame Maker using our templates and workflows. You do not need prior Frame Maker experience - training will be provided but you must be highly competent in Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transfer existing product manuals from MS Word into Adobe Frame Maker.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply templates, formatting rules, and style guidelines accurately.
  • Manage multiple documentation tasks and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Work closely with the technical authoring and approvals team to support smooth transition processes.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrable administration experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on technical accuracy.
  • Ability to learn new software tools quickly (including Frame Maker).
  • Well organised, self motivated, and able to manage time effectively.
Desirable
  • Experience producing technical documentation.
  • Previous exposure to Adobe Frame Maker or similar publishing tools.

This position will be based at our Barnsley site and is expected to last 6 months. Although this is advertised as a full time position, part time working will be considered for the right candidate.
