We are recruiting on a confidential basis for a Commercial Data Analyst to join a large, well-established organisation operating within the automotive sector
. This is an analytical, commercially focused role offering exposure to live data, operational decision-making and systems improvement within a high-volume environment. The role is well suited to a bright graduate with a few years of relevant experience who enjoys working with complex datasets, improving reporting, and supporting commercial outcomes.

As a Commercial Data Analyst
, you will support business performance through accurate reporting, insightful analysis and close collaboration with finance, operations and sales teams.

• Producing daily and monthly reports covering stock, sales performance, costs and operational status
• Analysing data relating to asset lifecycle, preparation costs, utilisation and ageing
• Supporting forecasting activity and translating data into clear, actionable insight
• Working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve data issues impacting commercial outcomes
• Developing and improving dashboards and automated reporting using Power BI and Excel
• Supporting process improvement initiatives linked to systems, data flows and reporting accuracy
• Assisting with project activity relating to the implementation and optimisation of internal systems

You are likely to have:

• A university degree (essential)
• 2-5 years' experience in a data, analyst or reporting role
• Strong Power BI capability, including DAX, Power Query and Power Pivot
• Solid SQL skills with experience querying and structuring data
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and automation
• A commercial mindset and the confidence to work with stakeholders across different functions
• Experience in a fast‑paced or operational environment is beneficial
