Position: Estimator / Senior Estimator

Your new role

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimator or Senior Estimator to support the pre-construction team in the preparation and delivery of competitive tender submissions across a diverse project portfolio.

You will be involved in the full tender lifecycle, working closely with operational, commercial and bid teams to secure future work.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparing estimates and tender submissions from first principles
Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
Producing accurate cost plans and pricing strategies
Managing supplier and subcontractor enquiries
Identifying and assessing commercial risks and opportunities
Supporting framework submissions and negotiated opportunities
Preparing tender reports and recommendation documents
Liaising with clients, stakeholders and internal teams
Supporting successful project handovers to delivery teams

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience as an Estimator, Senior Estimator or Pre-Construction professional
Background within civil engineering, infrastructure, construction, rail, utilities, highways or a related sector
Good commercial awareness and understanding of tendering processes
Ability to interpret technical information and drawings
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel and estimating software
