Customer Service Rep
A great job opportunity has arisen for a Hire Controller to join our busy team located in our client's offices in Thurnscoe. The successful applicant will be working on one of our biggest and most important customer accounts and will be tasked with building strong internal and external relationships with a view to maximising business development opportunities.
Responsibilities- Deliver service excellence through the management of your own case load of queries, exceptions and associated customer enquiries.
- Process on-hire and off-hire requests using our dedicated hire management system with a high level of accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of customer activity, hire information, and system data.
- Prepare and issue hire quotations based on customer requirements.
- Expertly respond to calls and written communication in a variety of formats, including emails, ensuring a first-class customer experience.
- Coordinate with operational depots and the transport team to arrange equipment deliveries, collections, and exchanges.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.
- Assist with checking product availability and supporting stock control processes.
- Help to resolve any service issues or queries efficiently, escalating when required.
- Experience of working in a customer service role.
- Knowledge and experience of working in the hire sector is desirable.
- Computer literate and competent with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Confident with strong communication skills.
- Driving licence preferable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pick up new tasks quickly, follow procedures and help other team members.
- A well organised and methodical individual with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and deliver a high level of customer service.
- Excellent phone manner and the confidence to manage customer enquiries for hire and sale transactions.
- Experience of working in the hire industry is preferred.
- GCSE level Maths and English (or equivalent) C or 3 or above, Disability Confident.
