Consultant and Clinical Lead in Dermatology

Role Overview

This is more than a Consultant role – it is an opportunity to lead, influence, and innovate as the Clinical Lead Dermatologist for Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. You will work with a passionate multidisciplinary team to improve skin cancer and specialist dermatology services, champion innovation, and drive the delivery of the highest standards of patient care.

• Lead service development and drive innovation in specialist dermatology and skin cancer care.
• Support multidisciplinary teams and influence strategic decisions to improve patient care, workforce sustainability, and service performance.
• Champion quality improvement, governance, and patient safety initiatives.
• Develop and implement modern models of care that deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred services.
• Engage in workforce development and support the education, mentoring, and development of clinical staff.
