South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Community General Adult Psychiatry, Spa/Core Pathway, Barnsley. This role is integral to delivering high-quality patient care and will be part of the team at Lundwood Health Centre.

• Essential: MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Desirable:
  Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management; MRCPsych; additional clinical qualifications.

• Essential:
  Excellent knowledge in specialty; wide clinical knowledge; strong English communication skills; ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty; evidence-based decision making; ability to provide clinical leadership and liaise with agencies.
• Desirable:
  Broad range of NHS-related experience across specialties.

• Essential:
  Fully registered with the GMC with license to practice; included on GMC Specialist Register for General Psychiatry or within six months of gaining CCT; S12 approval or able to achieve within three months of appointment.
• Desirable:
  In good standing with GMC; approved clinician status or able to achieve within six to twelve months of appointment.

• Essential:
  Holds and will use a valid UK driving licence or provide evidence of proposed alternative.

• Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as required; post is subject to Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and related disclosures.
• Certificate of Sponsorship for skilled worker visa applicants; applicable guidance from UK Visas and Immigration.
• UK registration: current UK professional registration required.
