Location: Leeds – On site

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

Salary: £51,000

Lecturer in Accounting & Finance teaching across undergraduate levels in the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexible teaching across weekdays, evenings and weekends to inspire student learning.

• Plan, deliver and assess core accounting modules (Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation, Audit).
• Develop, update and improve course materials.
• Use diverse learning and teaching methods.
• Engage in staff development activities, peer observations and meetings.
• Keep up to date with developments in your field and student support practices.
• Meet student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression objectives.

• Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance (UK or PSRB equivalent);
  PhD desirable.
• Previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
• Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
• Accurate reporting and organised student records.
• Work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
• Work with diverse groups of people.

• Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme within the probationary period.
• Full qualification from PSRB affiliates (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, IFA).
