Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a patient, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant looking to support pupils with additional needs in the S70 & S71 areas of Barnsley?

GSL Education are seeking committed SEN Teaching Assistants – Supply to work in schools across Barnsley (S70 & S71). This role provides an opportunity to make a positive impact on pupils’ learning, confidence, and personal development.

• Support pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs in the classroom.
• Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
• Work 1:1 or with small groups to provide tailored support.
• Encourage pupils’ independence, engagement, and confidence.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
• Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times.

• Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable.
• A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
