Assistant Headteacher - Specialist School 45000 to 50000This role is for an experienced teacher and school leader ready to step into senior leadership. You’ll help shape a specialist school where high expectations, trauma‑informed practice and inclusive education go hand in hand. It’s an opportunity to influence whole‑school outcomes while continuing to make a real difference for pupils with SEND.

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Extensive background in teaching and education.
- Proven leadership experience within a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Experience in behaviour management, safeguarding and trauma‑informed approaches.
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEND.
- Experience working in a specialist or alternative provision school.
- Additional leadership or SEND‑related qualifications.
- Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and day‑to‑day running of the school.
- Lead on teaching, learning and curriculum development within a specialist SEND setting.
- Promote positive behaviour, safeguarding and trauma‑informed practice across the school community.
- Coach, support and develop teaching and support staff to achieve high standards.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to whole‑school improvement planning.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families and external professionals.
