Learning Support Assistant (SEN)
Location: Barnsley
Hours: Full-time | Various days available
We are currently recruiting a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to work full-time within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in the Barnsley area. This role involves supporting children with a range of additional needs, including learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
You will work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals to provide individualised support, helping pupils to engage with learning, develop confidence, and achieve their personal and academic goals in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Requirements- Proven experience working with SEN children (essential)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (required)
- Safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake this)
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach
- Ability to work full-time with flexibility across various days
- Full-time opportunities within dedicated SEN school settings
- Flexible working days
- Ongoing support and guidance throughout your placement
