Salary: Up to £200 per day

A number of secondary schools in Barnsley are seeking adaptable and confident Supply Teachers to provide consistent, high-quality classroom cover across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Schools across Barnsley value consistency, clear expectations, and a trauma‑informed approach to behaviour and wellbeing, ensuring pupils remain focused and supported during staff absences.

As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and ensure pupils remain engaged in their learning. This role offers variety and flexibility, ideal for teachers who enjoy working across different settings and adapting quickly.

• Deliver pre-set lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Maintain a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
• Support pupil engagement and participation throughout lessons
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and routines
• Report any concerns to relevant staff where necessary
• Ensure continuity of learning during teacher absence

• QTS or equivalent (desirable)
• Experience working in secondary school settings
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confident, flexible and professional approach
• Ability to adapt to different subjects and school environments
• Reliable and consistent availability
• Right to work in the UK
• Up‑to‑date CV with two references from the last 2 years
• DBS registered to the update service or willing to apply
