Are you an enthusiastic and child-centred educator committed to achieving high standards through effective teaching and learning within the primary phase? Join us as a Primary Classroom Teacher, where you will be responsible for the progress and supervision of children in your allocated classes while striving to deliver outstanding and interactive lessons and promoting the consistent and fair use of the behaviour policy.

Responsibilities

The Primary Classroom Teacher's core duties involve responsibility for supervision and the progress of children in allocated classes, which includes striving to deliver outstanding and interactive lessons and ensuring differentiation and personalisation of learning for all children.

The role requires applying current guidelines on effective learning and teaching, developing and implementing a scheme of work, and providing good quality assessment using formative and summative methods. Teachers must also evaluate lessons and their teaching strategies to reflect and act on strengths and areas for development, track children's progress against their targets, and promote the consistent and fair use of the behaviour policy within the Academy environment.

Furthermore, the teacher acts as the first line of contact for parents' and carers' concerns regarding their child's performance and well-being.

It is also essential to have experience in the use of positive behaviour strategies. The role requires good personal ICT skills and an understanding of Assessment for Learning. Additionally, the teacher must comply with the academy's Child Safeguarding Procedures and report concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
