GCSE Teacher

Barnsley College is seeking a passionate and committed GCSE Teacher to join our dedicated team. As a GCSE Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, high quality teaching, learning and assessment that supports learners to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence. You will adapt your teaching approach to meet the needs of learners with a wide range of starting points, ensuring all students are supported, challenged and able to progress. You will monitor learner progress closely, providing clear and constructive feedback while supporting learners to overcome barriers and remain motivated.

You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where learners feel encouraged to develop resilience, take ownership of their learning and achieve their full potential. In addition to teaching, you will contribute to curriculum development, support departmental activities and work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards across provision.

• Teaching qualification (must be willing to work towards Level 6 PGCE if not already held)
• Degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification)
• 2 years' experience of working within an education setting
• Experience of delivering learning to a range of learners
• Experience of developing learning materials
