Milk Education is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring educator to teach languages across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their communication skills, cultural awareness, and confidence in language learning.
This full-time role is available for an immediate start or from September 2026.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver engaging and effective MFL lessons that inspire a love of language learning
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student achievement
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs
- Encourage students to develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in a foreign language
- Promote cultural understanding and global awareness through high-quality teaching
- Support enrichment opportunities, including language clubs, trips, and extracurricular activities where appropriate
- Collaborate with colleagues and wider school staff to enhance student outcomes
- Maintain high professional standards and uphold the values of both the school and Milk Education
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages at KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners of varying abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education
