Career Teachers is excited to announce a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 class at a welcoming mainstream primary school in Barnsley.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:- Assist the children in accessing the curriculum and achieving their individual targets
- Implement strategies to support academic development
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment to promote confidence and independence
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to ensure consistent progress
- Experience in supporting children within a classroom environment, including small group work and 1:1 support
- Patience, empathy, and be skilled at building rapport with children
- Confidence in implementing personalised learning plans.
- Qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate (desirable but not essential)
- Good skills as a team player who is adaptable and proactive in their approach

All roles will require an enhanced criminal record disclosure (DBS), although we can help with this process a new application is required if your current DBS is not on the update service, and reference checks.
