Milk Education is working closely with a forward‑thinking secondary school in Barnsley that is looking to appoint a committed and inspiring Maths Teacher from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive department where you can make a meaningful impact on students’ academic progress and foster a positive attitude towards learning.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop strong numerical skills, logical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
The Role- Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons to students across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and prepare engaging learning activities that challenge and motivate learners
- Support students in developing confidence and fluency in mathematical concepts
- Assess student progress and use data effectively to inform future teaching
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and improve outcomes across the department
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold high expectations for learning and behaviour
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Has a strong understanding of the Mathematics curriculum at KS3 and KS4
- Is passionate about improving student attainment and engagement
- Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one through Milk Education
