We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Barnsley, starting in September 2026. This is a full-time, fixed-term position covering maternity leave, offering long‑term stability for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and well‑structured Technology lessons across relevant key stages
Plan, prepare and assess students’ work in line with the national curriculum
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement
Contribute to a safe, well‑organised and inspiring learning environment
Work collaboratively with the department and wider school team

Pre‑requisites:

Relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
Proven experience of teaching Technology in a secondary school setting
Strong knowledge of the Technology curriculum
Two education or school‑based references
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
