Key Responsibilities
* Support teaching and learning in the classroom and with small groups or individual pupils.
* Assist pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
* Help prepare and organise learning resources and classroom activities.
* Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
* Support pupils with additional learning or SEND needs as required.
* Monitor and report on pupil progress to teaching staff.
* Supervise pupils during lessons, breaks, trips, and school activities.
* Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents/carers where appropriate.
* Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
Person Specification
* Experience working with primary-aged children in a school setting.
* Good English and Maths skills.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Patient, caring, and able to engage and support pupils.
* Organised, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing.
Desirable
* Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or training.
* Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
* Knowledge of the primary curriculum.
* Experience delivering interventions or small-group support.
* First aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training).
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Additional Information
* The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check
