SEN - English and Maths Tutor

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for tutors in Barnsley!
At Prospero, we work with local authorities to arrange 1:1 tuition for students accessing alternative provision.

What will you be tutoring?
The vast majority of our tuition referrals are for English and Maths. The delivery of learning will be at a KS1-KS3 level.

our working hours are flexible; 5-40 hours per week.
Pay: GBP
20 GBP
30 per hour.

When and where will you be tutoring?

Our tuitions can be held in a number of places:

Within schools
Within public places
Within students homes

At all of the above locations, there will always be an appropriate adult present for your tuition sessions. This will be the students parent, carer, or guardian, meaning you'll never be left alone with a student.
Our tuitions take place within school hours,9am-4pm, and our clients are very flexible on timings. When a role becomes available, we'll come to you as the tutor to set timings for when you'd like to take on the hours.

What qualifications do you need?

QTS (desired but not required), or Previous experience of working with students on 1:1 basis.
Proven track record of improving students performances.
Team Teach Qualification would be highly desirable, but not required.
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)
DBS on update service.

Below are the minimum requirement documents you will need to get registered with us:

Hold Right to Work within the UK (Please note, as a recruitment agency, we cannot register people with Sponsorship Visas).
An enhanced on the update service (recommended but not required, as you can apply for through us).
References covering 2 years (a full 24 months) of employment, as well as references for any work with children or vulnerable adults within the last two years
