Part time Trainee Health & Safety Advisor​/Administrator

Position: Part time Trainee Health & Safety Advisor / Administrator 3 days
A vacancy has recently become available for a part time trainee health and safety advisor / administrator to assist with the delivery of bespoke health and safety services to our clients predominantly within the Yorkshire area. This is a varied role that will include health and safety administration to support our team of advisors and provide assistance to clients as may be required whilst developing your broader knowledge of health and safety requirements within the workplace.

Whilst shadowing our existing advisors, responsibilities will include:
Producing health and safety audit reports Assistance with undertaking health and safety related inspections in low risk premises Creating client documentation including site files for a range of businesses including offices, manufacturing, retail, engineering and construction Assist with the development of risk assessments and COSHH assessments for clients Provide assistance in developing new safe working procedures, forms and general support Assist with the completion of CHAS, Construction line and other online portal applications on behalf of clients The successful candidate will have ideally had experience of working in a health and safety administration background.

Knowledge and understanding in completing workplace risk assessments is an essential. You will have good communication and IT skills and be reliable, confident, organised and show a high level of enthusiasm for the role. A base level health and safety qualification ie IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate will be preferred but is not essential. Further training and development will be available to the right candidate.

The role will be three days per week (days to be agreed) and you will be home based and located within a reasonable commutable distance to the wider South Yorkshire area. The package on offer includes a salary of upto £20,000 (£33,300 pro rata), annual performance related bonus (upto 10% of salary), new client bonus, company pension, mileage allowance and generous holidays.
