Barnsley - £30‑£40k depending on skills, abilities and experience.

Our client designs, manufactures and constructs a wide variety of structural steel projects from simple building frames to the most complex structures. With capability to process 50,000 tonnes of steel per annum and able to service clients at locations throughout the UK and Europe.

Responsible for the enquiry process and preparing comprehensive cost estimates for structural steel projects ensuring full alignment with client specifications and technical drawings.

Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain, verify and reconcile quotations in line with budget, scope and quality requirements, maintaining and building upon current client relationships and assisting in the development of new client relationships and new business opportunities.

Ensuring the smooth operation of the estimating and tender process liaising closely with clients and all departments across the business.

To apply for the estimator position, you will have estimating or quantity surveying experience and/or qualifications. An understanding of UK building regulations, steelwork standards (SCI/BCSA), fabrication procedures and structural steel would be advantageous.

The estimator will work in the office:
Mon - Thu - 08.30 - 5.00pm, Friday 08:30 - 3.45pm.

Salary will be dependent on experience, but is expected to be £30,000 to £40,000 p/a.
