Junior Multi-Skilled Engineer.

Location:

Barnsley. Salary: £35,000 - £40,000. Shift Pattern: 07:00 - 15:00 switching to 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00.

We are seeking a Junior Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established heavy industrial manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior or apprentice-trained engineer looking to develop their skills within a fast-paced production environment.

• Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Support breakdown repairs and fault finding activities.
• Carry out basic mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.
• Work on conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ensure machinery downtime is minimised.
• Maintain health & safety standards across site.
• Complete maintenance documentation and reports.

• NVQ / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.

• Previous manufacturing or industrial experience.
• Exposure to PLCs or automated equipment.
• Mechanical or electrical fault-finding knowledge.
