Finance Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading engineering business based in Barnsley, as they look to appoint a Finance Manager following an internal promotion.

This is a broad, hands-on role where you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the finance function, leading a small team and working closely with the Financial Controller across financial accounting, management accounting, reporting and financial control.

The Role

You’ll play a key part in ensuring robust financial control and high-quality reporting, while also acting as a trusted business partner across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and developing a finance team of 3
• Supporting annual overhead budgets and group reporting submissions
• Month-end close, balance sheet reviews and management reporting
• Acting as a key contact for external auditors
• Supporting statutory accounts preparation (FRS
  102)
• Oversight of leases (FRS
  102 & IFRS
  16), tax, VAT and CIS returns
• Budgeting, forecasting and cost control with Heads of Department
• Driving process improvements, controls and continuous improvement
• Supporting M&A, bidding activity and wider business projects

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Background within accountancy practice
• Strong business partnering capability
• Confident working to multiple deadlines with strong IT skills
